Bombings: Read What Police Did In Abuja

Bombings: Read What Police Did In Abuja
Following the bomb blasts that rocked Kano and Yobe States on Tuesday, which 37 people lost their lives, the police and other security agencies have taken a new step.

Sahara Reporters on Wednesday said officials of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police have tightened security in the area.
It was learnt that the security agencies had raised the security alert for the FCT to prevent a similar incident in the city.

A security source, who did not want to be mentioned, revealed that more covert intelligence officers have been deployed in strategic parts of the FCT, comprising motor parks, shopping malls, markets and other public places to foil any attempt by the terrorist to replicate the Kano and Potiskum bombings in Abuja.
“The security agencies have been on red alert following the bombings in Kano and Yobe States; we won’t be caught unawares again. We have deployed men on covert operations to important places, but I can’t give many details for strategic reasons,” the security source said.

Sahara correspondent confirmed that many police teams were seen patrolling different parts of the city and maintaining studious watch and inspection of passing motorists.
