Why I Came To London - Muhammadu Buhari

Why I Came To London - Muhammadu Buhari
In an exclusive interview Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) once again addressed the issue of his health.

Let’s recall that immediately after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate headed to London, the UK, rumours started circulating that he sought for medical help abroad.

All the attempts by the opposition seniors to prove that the only reason of his trip was to deliver speech at Chatham House, many remained unconvinced.

Despite controversy, the politician did speak during the February 26 occasion where he addressed the major national problems and challenges.

Speaking exclusively with Channels TV afterwards, Buhari was asked about the aim of his trip, to which he responded directly and categorically:
“After visiting 35 states and holding town hall meetings in Lagos, Kano and Abuja and having forced on me six weeks of holidays, I have to come away from Nigeria to get some relative peace. That is what brought me here.”

“So you had nothing to do with health challenges,” asked the interviewer.

“You have been watching me on the television, hearing me on the radio, visiting the whole country; I never had any health problem.”
